Derry Brownfield – Born in California, MO in 1932, Derry started farming at age sixteen.  He attended the College of Agriculture at the University of Missouri where he received his BS and MS degrees.  Before establishing himself a farm broadcaster, Derry taught Vocational Agriculture for several years, after which he was a Marketing Specialist with the Missouri Department of Agriculture.  He then served as Director of the Kansas City Livestock Market Foundation at the Kansas City Stockyards.  In 1972, Derry and his partner established the Brownfield Network, which currently serves 230 radio stations throughout the Midwest with farm news and market information.  In 1994, Derry started The Derry Brownfield Show, which can be heard on over 80 radio stations in approximately 23 states.  Derry now resides in Centerville, Missouri where the Brownfield Farm is now over 1000 acres and maintains a herd of 200 registered Charolais cows.
